On Friday, Jan 31, a vigil and fundraiser for Australia will take place at Waterloo Town Square. Hosted by Kitchener-Waterloo Climate Save, attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite animal, bird, or insect to honor all the creatures we share the planet with.
Additionally, on Friday, Jan 17, a Climate Strike and Extinction Rebellion Die-In will occur at TheMuseum in Kitchener. Participants are requested to bring something to lie on for the Die-In. Signs and banners will be displayed as part of the Alarm Exhibition, and TheMuseum will unveil its own banner in support of the climate strikes.
These events are aimed at garnering media attention and public awareness about the Climate Emergency in Waterloo Region.
